8 MONTHS

Baby boy is officially 8 months old! (Actually, 3 days ago...bad mommy, bad!)

At 8 months:
-Tate is crawling...FAST

-pulling up on everything and letting go with one hand. He wants to go so bad so it's only a matter of time before he will be walking across the room without even knowing it.

-still not sleeping through the night! Ugh...this is not good and it's our fault. He was sleeping through the night for a couple of months and then Trevor left for Afghanistan and he must've sensed the change and started waking up a couple of times a night! Sometimes it's so bad he will wake up every couple of hours!!! So, at this point we've got to make a change. He will begin the tough love this Friday-crying it out. It's going to be so hard but hopefully it will help everyone get a full night sleep. We all need it!

-he loves to go on rides in the trailer behind the bike

-loves to swing in the front yard

-likes to go on walks in our B.O.B at the KOA

-loves to eat crackers-it helps us get a little bit of time to eat at dinner. He just wants to eat like us.

-weighs 22.2 pounds and is now wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.

-does what Trevor calls, "the Aggie face" and I'm okay with it because it's the cutest thing ever! He strums his lips and makes noises.

-makes lots of vocalizations with syllables- baba, lala, and sometimes even mama :-) I'm still not going to consider it his first word because he doesn't use it unless he's mad and he doesn't say it to me, necessarily.

-he waves all the time! It's so sweet and I love it!

-he laughs HARD! It's so funny when he gets going because he can't stop. I tickle his thighs and blow on his belly and chew on his feet.

-has had 2 ear infections already :-( It makes me sad that he's so miserable! He can barely breathe and he pulls on his ears. I'm so ready for this second infection to heal up and the congestion to go away so he can be happy and healthy!

He looks so much like a little boy and not like a baby anymore! It's so crazy to see him growing up so fast! I love him more than anything in the world! I can't wait to watch him grow up and see who he becomes and what he will be like. I'm so blessed to be his mama!

Tater Update

Lately things have been just so crazy! First of all, Tate is sick :-( he's bee
n so badly congested he's had a hard time breathing for the past month! Yes, I said MONTH! And then he has not been sleeping well because of this. He also started having a runny nose, little bit of a cough, and sneezy. We went to the doctor to see what could be done about his congestion not getting better and he had been pulling on his ear a lot and has been extra fussy. He gave us Zyrtec to see if it would work for seasonal allergies, Hydrocortisone for his rashy face, amoxicillin for a minor ear infection, and ear drops for the pain. On top of all of this, I think he might be getting his top set of teeth in. My poor, poor baby! I feel so bad for him! B
ut, I'm praying that all of these drugs will knock it all out and he'll be feeling better in no time.In other news, he is crawling all over the place, and FAST! And now he is pulling up on everything. He's so darn cute! I'm so proud. I can't believe how fast he's growing up and how much he can do now. He's so smart! He even knows how to high five! I'm so in love!!! :-)
We got our B.O.B jogger in and he likes it. I love it! It means I can actually work out and it is so smooth! Such a good jogger. I'm excited to take it out to the KOA. I'm so ready for it to cool down so we can do more.

Lately, we've been spending as much time as we can outside just because he enjoys it soo much. We play in his tree swing, go on lots of runs/walks, go riding in our bicycle trailer, and crawl all over the backyard chasing Kitty, a.k.a "Bitty". He also likes to mow the yard...hahah
We are now eating a solid breakfast, lunch, and dinner of baby food and a bottle in between. I'm still working on getting ready of the night feeding and I'm praying hard he will start sleeping through the night. This week we will keep him in our room until he feels better. He actually slept pretty good last night, from 9:30-2:30, he woke up because he couldn't breathe and I fed him an ounce and he fell asleep at 2:45/3-7, woke up and ate and went back to sleep til 9. This was great in my opinion, compared to what we've been doing. I'm just hoping and praying that it will continue to get better and better and he will start sleeping a good 10-12 hours solid. That would be amazing!! :0)

Enough for tonight, Mama needs her sleep! :-)
