How we spend our summer days

Summer is coming to an end. Summer time can be a little difficult when it's super hot and my outdoor babies refuse to stay in the house. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what I'm going to do with them. I thought it'd be fun to take a look back at just a little of what we've done this summer.

 Sometimes we cook...blue-blueberry pancakes
sometimes they roll around like maniacs
they play with Grandaddy's tools out at the shop
and sometimes they get to hang out with just the grandparents while Mama and Daddy take an occasional date night
and we love frozen yogurt on a hot summer evening!
hang out at the ranch with Gigi and Papa...gardening, riding horses, and best of all...eating!
Play baseball with Poppy! If it were up to him he'd hit baseballs all day!

We celebrate birthdays!
Play with rocks and dirt...in true boy fashion!
and for a few short hours it's sweet naptime

 Daddy takes Tate fishin'
and sometimes they play in turtle pool with WATER (he loves the water hose!)
and when it cools down we spend time at the park

They like to go riding "motorcycles". I'm so happy my little boys are buds! I love to see them play together! I just know that they will be playmates and best friends!
Bowen likes to raid the snack drawer many times throughout the day!
We play with bubbles and chase dragons and shoot imaginary elk, moose, buffalos, and deer!
if there are jumbo grasshoppers around, Tate loves to chase them, stomp em, and catch em
we go for walks in the evening
 eat cool popsicles
ride horses at the ranch

color, paint, and cut things in Mama's "lady lair"

 Swim at Grammy's

We go to the nature center with friends! Roen and Bowen are now toddling along! WoohOO!

 and they wrestle...
 A LOT
We've also gone on trips to San Antonio to Sea World, Round Top for the Junk Gypsy viewing party, and Austin to  hang out with Cici and Uncle Carl this summer and have had so much fun! I can't believe how fast they are growing up! These sweet boys are everything! Summer was fun but let's bring on fall..football, fun outside during the days, and cooler weather! WOOHOO! Can't wait!

silly little guy

I used to put Bowen in hats all the time last winter when he was too young to really care/do anything about it. Well from about 9 months til now he really won't let me put any kind of hat on him. Now, he's finally warming up to the idea of hats again. I really love seeing little boys in hats of all types! Hopefully he will start wearing them without a fight. But he also loves to wear them now because he thinks it's silly. He loves to get laughs.

He took my hat and took off! Silly boy
and maybe even shorts on the head! Goofy

Gotta love those little munchkins!

Story time with Grandpa

The boys love books! Especially before they go to bed. Luckily, Grandpa came by just in time to get to read the babies some books before they took their afternoon nap.
just ignore Tate's ba-ba..he's going through a weird phase of wanting to be a "baby".
Bowen will hand me books and say "book"
This was a funny part, obviously
 hahah
 Silly little guy

I think Grandpa enjoyed it too!

Summer Fun

Summer is coming to an end which means nice crisp air and lots of fun fall festivities to look forward to but while we are still enjoying what little bit of summer is left we are taking full advantage of running through sprinklers, taking dips in pools, and lots of baseball and snowcones!
Wild And Precious Life
this Katie Daisy print is such a sweet little reminder via
squee! I adore watching him delight in little childhood novelties

Chasing me with a stick, aka sword. He's a good dragon hunter....and elk, moose, bear, and anything else hunter
Bowen was more interested in digging in the potting soil
 but Tate was running wild

 little monkey
 and my little explorer
it was a tad bit chilly towards the end
I love the progression of his facial expressions in these next few pictures

 oh, those eyebrows hahaa
of course my boys have their "accessories": Rocks, tools, and sticks
 or maybe a bug

 cheesy grin
 peek-a-boo, I see you

 sticks make good swords...
or antlers!

kisses

I'm more blessed than I deserve but I definitely thank God every single night for those sweet blessings! I fall more in love with my babies every day which seems unfathomable. I'll always cherish these memories! Can't wait to make a million more...
