A couple of weekends ago Trish and Victor offered to keep Tate and Bowen overnight so Trevor and I could have a full-night's rest and some time alone. It was the very first time Bowen had been away from me for more than a couple of hours-much less all night! I must say that I did have some anxiety but I was super excited to sleep all the way through the night and have some much needed time with Trevor and I.
Here's Tate's cheesy grin as he's packin up and headin out to the ranch.
Bowen was pretty excited too!
Waving goodbye! That night Trevor and I went to my Aunt and Uncle's house for a barbecue for labor day festivities and said hello then headed out to see a movie that we tried to see earlier in the day but the A/C was out in the theater so we decided to come back later. It was the Campaign with Will Ferrel- funny but nothing I need to see again. Then we went to eat and came home and went to sleep! It was sooo nice! I slept all the way through the night but woke up pretty early-I guess out of routine. I was ready to see my babies. But before we went to pick them up we decided to go for a hike near the dam.
It was a neat area. Very rustic and not much of a trail.
Then we climbed all the way up the rocky dam (it was a little treacherous and much harder than it appeared) and looked out over the drought stricken lake. It was kinda sad but still beautiful. Hopefully we will get enough rain to fill it back up soon!
We had an awesome, relaxing time. We were ready to see the babies so we went to the ranch to pick them up. Apparently, they had not slept well the night before :-/ but we were very appreciative to Gigi and Papa for their generosity and I know the boys had a good time too!
Thanks again Gigi and Papa!
