This year we had a wonderful 4th of July that started, well on July 3rd. We went over to Dad and Shelly's (Gran-pa and Nana's) and had dinner after watching the bomber fly over head. Tate loved it even though we couldn't see it very well. Then we went to watch fire works from the old Winn-Dixie parking lot. We turned up the music from the Pop's Concert that was playing on the radio and sat on the tailgate and watched the show. We all enjoyed it but before long the boys were sleepy and ready to go home. I wish I would've thought to bring my camera but I'm sure no one missed the bright flashes! ;-) It was a good night.
Then on the 4th Tate and Trevor went shooting with Eric, Steph, and Uncle Ed, so we went to go eat lunch at Jenna and Ryan's house and hang out with little Carson!
Bowen's sweet smile! Little stinker

I'm sure Bowen's thinking "Mom, get that camera out of my face"

Bowen loves kitties! This is the first time one has actually let him pet it for a little while. I'm glad that the cat left intact! haha
And what's better than homemade ice cream on 4th of July? Nothing...okay, well the fireworks are up there but the homemade ice cream is definitely one of my favorite parts of this holiday (that and freedom, I guess)
Sweet boy just hung out
then we got the brilliant idea to try to have a photo op with a 13 month old and a 3 month old. hahaha
they didn't really get the idea. But, it was cute nonetheless!
Silly boy! He sure does love to be tickled.
He was getting pretty sleepy by this point
I was imitating his signature pose

Feeding little man ice cream...he definitely dug it!
Then after the boys woke up from naps we went out to the ranch for dinner with the family. Here Tate is being sweet and giving sugars to Bowen.
and saying "CHEESE"! What a ham!
Bowen driving the truck
and we got to meet sweet Jacki! She's so cute! Good work Bobbi and Jake!
Then we ate watermelon and more ice cream
played in the grass
catching grasshoppers
and watching horses. We also swam for a little while and then decided to call it a night. As we were heading back into town from the ranch we got to see the finale of the fireworks show. It was beautiful! I love the sparkly fireworks!
What a great 4th of July!
