The boys are at a really cool age where they actually play for hours without getting mad or frustrated. And they have their own little language while playing pretend that they totally get. I love watching their relationship grow and watch brothers just be brothers. They love each other and would fight for each other. Sure sometimes that means they fight one another but that's to be expected. But I just love when I catch these little moments of sweetness between them. Bowen wanted help getting his shoes on and I was in the kitchen finishing up so Tate decided he would help his bubba get them on. I love it!

Charades
The other day while we were playing I thought it would be a good time to try out charades. It was...interesting, hilarious, and short lived!
Maybe we will give it a couple more months for Bowen. But Tate got into it and even drew this. Can you guess what it is?
If you said two bunnies you would be correct! hahahaTate is a GREEN Belt!
Tate is officially a green belt! I am so proud of him. We've gone through spells of him really not being interested and we backed off a little and even skipped a belt testing because we weren't going as often. I didn't want him to just give up and quit because I know he is learning a lot. Not just about Tae Kwon Do but about discipline, respect, and hard work. But I also balance that with the fact that he's only 4 and if he's not interested I'm not going to force him into doing something he doesn't enjoy. Usually we take a break for a week and focus on other activities and then he's back into the swing of it again. He's excelling by leaps and bounds and I'm so proud of him! He's my little ninja!

Bowen's 3rd Birthday
It's only been 4 months since Bowen turned 3 so it seemed necessary that I should post about his birthday sooner than later!
Since Bowen's birthday is right in the heat of the summer we decided to hold Bowen's party at the bounce house. And it was a good choice! If you give kids cupcakes, cake, and sugary beverages it should only be necessary that you make them wear all of it out. We were so blessed with so many of our friends and family were able to come and celebrate our little Bowen boy with us.
Bowen is a funny, stubborn, creative, adorable, smart, and a wild man. I love this kid so much! He challenges us daily but we wouldn't want it any other way. He brings more laughter and a brighter life than I could've ever imagined. He is charming and animated and so full of life and personality! I am so proud of my little man and I am so grateful to be his Mama! Happy 3rd birthday wild man!
Batman play station!
I love the invitations! So fitting for my little bat boy!
Poppi showing Bowen his brand new Ninja Turtle bike!
Gigi and friends
He was pretty excited about all of his presents but can you tell he likes to dress up? Those are some of their favorite things- costumes and super hero accessories.
Sweet Mallorie loved the bounce house- after she decided it was okay she was all smiles! Love that sweet little face!
And it wouldn't be a party without baby Carson.
Daddy and Papa checking out Bowen's new toys.
And of course, Grampy playing with all the kiddos
and making them happy!
I love you baby boy! I'm so proud of you and can't believe you are already 3! You are the light of my life! Keep being your awesome self little man! You are definitely going to big, amazing places! Thanks to all our friends and family who helped us celebrate!

A Huntin' they will go
Dove season is well under way and my boys were more than ready to go hunting! It's a celebrated holiday around here. Although I might not celebrate with as much enthusiasm as my boys. We went out by the tank at the ranch. The boys were in hog dove Heaven. They're definitely all boy!
Making sure Grandpa has the decoy working just right.
My handsome hubby. I swear this photo speaks volumes. Trevor truly is happiest in nature and preferably with a gun. He's definitely in his element and I love that he's passing on this passion to our boys.
The bird got his tail feather blown off by Papa and Tate was glad to show anybody and everybody who was near.
Grandpa taking birds down!
And Uncle Carl in mid-shot!
Bowen was pretty excited to be bird boy!
See Mama!
No, really...SEE!?!
Goofy kids!
