Bowen Boy is 9 Months

Bowen is growing up and changing so fast but that's a given. He's 9 months and he's up to a lot.

Sweet little stinker is in the 43% for weight at 20.12 pounds (doctor thinks he would be a lot heavier had he not been sick most of this year). He's in the 91% for height at 30.25". His head is the 85%. 

 "mom, really?!"

"ok, I'm done...bye"




-He's walking mostly unassisted behind a walker (when he wants to) He usually goes a couple of steps and wants to crawl

-He loves being outdoors just like big brother

-He hates being strapped down. Whether that be in the carseat or stroller, he would prefer to be out and about on his own.
-He's 20 pounds (he's dropped weight from being sick). We go in for his 9 month check up on the 23rd because he was sick for the past week so we'll see if he jumps back up.
-He's is mostly happy, when he's not sick :-\ unfortunately, lately he's been sick a lot. We just went in on Tuesday and he had an ear infection on the right side and pneumonitis. I'm so ready for this weather to settle down so we can be over all this nasty sickliness.
-He loves to be on his hands and knees and bounce and grunt. It's too cute!

-He crawls FAST! He can go from one room to the next in a blink of an eye.
-He is still wearing 12-18 months and size 4 diapers.
-He loves to read books...when I open them up he immediately smiles

-We should call him "quick hands McGraw" because he can grab things and throw them within seconds! He's got good hand-eye coordination
-He's starting to get more hair in...finally! 
-He is starting to use more baby babble-he has more syllables like "ga" "ba" "da" "ma" and "es"
-he is starting to understand a lot. He knows who the dog is and will look for her when i ask him about her. He also understands "no" and "don't" and thinks it's hilarious to disobey--it's funny and scary all at the same time.We must have a gene the boy's inherited that gives them this stubborn orneriness.
-He calls me Mama and asks for me a lot! hahaha He's definitely a Mama's boy for now :-)
