Happy New Year

2011 has come to an end and we've welcomed 2012. It's incredible how fast this year went by. To think of all that we've done, miles we've driven, and the dramatic life experiences we've had it's overwhelming! This year was fun, challenging, amazing, busy and chaotic, sleepless, but it was filled with lots of love, laughs, and yes, even some tears!

This year in review:

January 2010- We rang in the new year with Whitnee, Nathan, Lauri, and Micah at Whit's house. It was a lot of fun and a great way to start this year with wonderful friends. I was 4 months pregnant. We had Tate's 1st birthday and his first birthday party at the ranch. I love this little boy so much! And we found out we were having another boy! Trevor also found out he got the job with Stryker and that we would be moving to Midland--in a few weeks.

February- We moved to Midland- it was quite a challenge to find a decent house, in a decent neighborhood for an acceptable price but we finally found our home on Joy. As soon as we moved in there was a big snow storm that lasted about a week. Tate got his very first haircut-he was not a fan-still isn't. When we came down to visit everybody in Angelo Tate took his first steps at mom's house! There was lots of park time and we began going on walks every evening that the weather permitted. We also went to the rodeo!
YAY!

March- We were still getting settled in Midland. We went on walks every evening and went to the park on most days. This month Tate was a sick baby : (. I also made a trip to go to Warrenton with Courtnie. It was a lot of fun!

April- Lots of visits to San Angelo. Park. Prepping for baby Bowen. Tate loved to play in and on his sand table and in the yard. We went to our first baseball game in Midland. Tate loved it! We went to the park down the street and fed the ducks a lot. Easter Sunday we went to church at First Presbyterian in San Angelo and enjoyed the egg hunt! Tate looked dapper in his Sunday best!

May- There were a lot of fires in/around Midland. One got less than a mile from our house. Luckily, everything was okay but we were evacuated. I was getting to the end of my pregnancy with Bowen and so ready to meet my sweet little one! Tate moved into his big boy bed and did great! He's growing up sooooo fast!

June- Baby Bowen arrived on June 1st! It was a very easy labor and delivery. I was very blessed and Bowen was just perfect! Sadly, Bowen was admitted to the hospital at 2 weeks for an unknown virus. It was honestly one of the most traumatic experiences as a mother I've ever had, and pray that this is the last one! He was in the hospital for 3 days. This month was, again, very hot! Lots of playing in the turtle pool for Tate.

July- On the 4th we watched fireworks in the backyard. Tate looked up saying "whooaa" as each one popped. Watching him experience new things and his pure innocence is so touching! It makes being a mother even more special. Again, Very HOT! Lots of playing in the turtle pool in his diaper and playing with the waterhose. He was lucky enough to get to go to the ranch and ride horses with Papa and even with Uncle Eric and Aunt Steph. Sadly, Grandma Kropp passed on to Heaven after battling cancer for over a year. She is greatly missed but we know she is in peace.

August- Survival on very little sleep and very little energy. Trevor found out he got the job transfer to San Angelo so we got to move yet again. We're officially gypsies! We couldn't find rental house in the short time we had to look so we moved in with Gigi and Papa at the ranch. We're very grateful they love us enough to put up with such a full house! Tripp got bit by a rattlesnake while Tate and I played just feet away. It was very scary and we're happy that he was okay. Tate started back to mother's day out.

September-We moved into our house by the park. This is the best house for us! We literally walk out our back door and are at the park. Tate loves to play and we usually spend most of our days there. Mom, the boys, and I went to Austin to visit Courtnie. We went to the zoo, shopped at the outlets, and enjoyed lots of good food!

October- We visited the pumpkin patch with mom and the boys and then with mom, dad, and the boys. We went to the Halloween festival at church- Tate was Bam-Bam (Me and Trish made the costume) Bowen won cutest costume in his dinosaur costume.

November- We had Thanksgiving with my mom and the family that day and went to see Dad at the shop that night as well as watch the big (and last) game against UT. Unfortunately, we lost-but barely. We had some fun at the library, made a ruckus in the garage, flew kites at the park, and painted.  Bowen's 2 little teeth on the bottom came in.He is growing and changing so much!

December- Trish and Victor took the boys to the Santa Fe Christmas. There were lots of trains and Santa. The boys definitely enjoyed the trains wayyyy more than they did Santa. We had 3 Christmas celebrations with the families. All were filled with loud, exciting, fun times with family! We found out Jen is having a boy come May. We drove through the lights down by the river while Tate watched his movie and Bowen cried- maybe next year this will be more of an exciting and enjoyable trip haha. Another dramatic turn of events is when Trevor took a job with Micah and went to North Dakota. Now he'll be selling oilfield services. I think this is going to be a perfect fit and we are excited about all the possibilities this job has in store for all of us. It's not going to be easy but it'll be worth it! Bowen is getting so big and is army crawling and definitely getting close to being fully mobile!

There've been many changes and our family has grown and changed! We are so grateful for  the blessings and love that surround us daily! Although things never seem to slow down or stay the same for more than a moment, I know God has an amazing plan for us! May 2012 be the best yet! It's going to be hard to top the past 2 years but I have faith that we've got amazing things to look forward to! Thank you all for being a part of our lives! I thank the Lord each and every day for all that we have and for his continued blessings!
xoxo
